Chapter 299: Surprise
The wedding ceremony itself was very serene and solemn setting. Things went smoothly, and it shortly ended with a breathtaking kiss from the newlywed couple. As was traditionally expected of him, Nathan quickly carried his bride inside the mansion, leaving all of their guests behind to be attended by their Aunt Ester with the help of Davin, Lyne, Mia, and Levi.
Reaching the mansion proper, Nathan didn’t bother walking to their bedroom. Instead, he went inside the elevator and made their way to the rooftop.
Noticing their peculiar destination, Raine creased her forehead as she asked, "Where are we going?"
"To our honeymoon?" Nathan answered with a naughty smile.
If there was anything Raine didn’t expect to hear, it was those exact words that just came out of his mouth. She was about to inquire further, but the loud whittling of the chopper’s blades quickly filled her ears as Nathan walked towards the helipad and placed her on the seat inside, buckling her to safety.
Letting him care for her, she remained quiet as she simply observed what was happening in the helicopter. There were a few preparations that happened, but over all, it all looked to be standard fare for a helicopter ride.
Once everything was settled, Nathan sat beside her, his hand waving out as he signaled their pilot to move.
[Where exactly are we going?"] Raine telepathically inquired.
In response, Nathan gently squeezed her hand as he replied, [You’ll see...]
