Chapter 297: All Over Me
Meanwhile, Lyne also had a busy day assisting Nathan in wrapping up as many loose ends as possible at the Convel Society before he could abdicate the throne. They would like to make sure that he left nothing of note as a problem before he permanently focused his rule at the Moon Clan.
"You’ve worked hard, Lyne. Thank you," Nathan thanked with an appreciative smile. "Why don’t you go on ahead? I can continue where we left off here alone with Decan."
Taking the opportunity, Lyne nodded, and soon bid goodbye to Nathan and Decan as they remained inside one of the meeting rooms in the King’s hall to finish more work.
Walking out, she was well on her way outside the King’s Place when she saw Boris coming up to her together with Aspen.
"Hello," Lyne greeted the two men.
"Hi," Aspen greeted back. He then looked at Boris and said, "I’ll go on ahead."
Boris nodded, letting Aspen leave before he turned his head to her and said, "Let’s go?"
Lyne frowned. "Aren’t you going with Aspen?"
"No..." Boris smiled. "Instead, we’re going to have dinner. I just walked with him here to pick you up. So, shall we go now?"
"Sure," Lyne nodded, and the two of them started walking toward the car Lyne brought with her. Boris grabbed her keys to drive, and she didn’t bother with complaining about their arrangement. Soon enough, they were on the road again.
"Where are we going?" Lyne asked as soon as she noticed that Boris was driving them out of the vicinity of the Convel Society.
