Chapter 290: Secretly Out of the Country
Raine couldn’t hide the glow in her eyes as she started greeting her visitors. Most of them were from her Moonlight Squad, and her Aunt Ester together with her biological father were also with them. She was honestly grateful that her Aunt Ester was always looking after her father Lark even after all this time although they were not related to her by blood. But at least now, she was finally going to be her legal in-law once she and Nathan got married.
As they took care of their guests, Nathan was always right beside her as they did their duties as hosts. Eventually, dinner came, and Raine grabbed everyone’s attention by proposing a toast.
"I bet all of you are wondering as to why I asked for everyone’s presence here tonight at this simple dinner gathering with me and Nathan," Raine started, looking at her squad members not far from her table. "I only invited a few whom I considered my family... My Moonlight Squad..."
She then turned to the table where her father, Aunt Ester, Davin, Bartos, Aspen and his mother, and Decan currently were as she added, "My immediate family and newfound friends..."
Raine addressed everyone present in the garden as she finally revealed, "It is our great pleasure to tell you all about the good news... that Nathan and I will have our first baby together. I am pregnant."
At the news, everyone immediately voiced their congratulations to the couple. Lyne and Mia hugged Raine together, and they said in chorus, "It’s definitely good news, Boss!"
After that, her aunt Ester moved to hug her and Nathan. "Ah, I’m glad that there’s going to be a new member of the family. Another grandchild for me..." she enthusiastically stated.
Raine smiled at everyone and said her thank yous. Nathan then interrupted the warm congratulations as he announced, "Also, my wedding with Raine will be held here two days from now. I would all like to ask for your cooperation to make it possible."
"Alright then," Ester cheered as she raised her glass of wine along with everyone else in the garden. "There are so many things to celebrate right now, so let’s all have a toast for our King and Queen..."
