Chapter 220: Powder in your hands
The room exploded into a cacophony of noise as Boris then began to go into detail about his so-called findings, knocking everyone into silence, including Danos. Still...
"That can’t change the fact that you still tried to kill me!" Danos spat out with a dark look on his face.
Boris returned the man’s gaze as he scowled, "If you were in my shoes, would you not seize the opportunity to kill the person who framed you? And that wasn’t to mention how I was trying to save my mate from you!"
"Hah! Frame you?! Do you want us to go over that again?!" Danos challenged "Isn’t the case closed already? We already proved that you’re guilty of all the charges levied against you!!!"
"I’ll ask for a retrial eventually so just you wait," Boris growled. "I assure you that this time, I’ll make sure that justice will be properly served!"
"Enough with this!"
With a bang on his table, Nathan swiftly interrupted the brewing quarrel between the two. Keeping things on track, They soon arrived at the discussion about Marcus’s message regarding the exchange of hostages.
"What’s there to even discuss?! The Princess has the blood of an angel flowing through her veins, and no one would ever dare lay a hand on her because of it. That’s why Marcus is this confident!" Lucio exclaimed with gritted teeth. "I just want my son back! And I’m sure Decan wants the same for her daughter! Proceed with the exchange first, and then we can attack the Moon Clan Territory after that!!!"
Through all of this, Aspen worriedly looked at Nathan. They had thought that they managed to keep the details about the message Marcus relayed through the woman he sent secretly. So how come Lucio knew that the Princess even had angel blood?
Nathan clenched his jaw... This was annoying. Marcus was definitely testing his patience and generosity through his actions.

Meanwhile, inside Nathan’s bedroom, Raine let out a whistle as she put on the new comfortable clothes that Nathan brought for her. Somehow, the white dress suited her tastes, well enough, and it’ll have to do for now since she wasn’t even home. Letting out a sigh, Raine focused on her thoughts as she sat on the couch, her mind way too busy with formulating her own plans on how to handle the current situation. It was then that she was interrupted from her deep stupor with a few knocks on the door.
