Chapter 240: Together
Shawn’s eyes widened in horror when he heard Old Man Skull’s suggestion for Denise to stay at Lee’s mansion instead.
He quickly responded, "NO!"
Old Man Skull and Denise was startled with his word and high angry tone.
’Why does he looks so serious and furious. Old Man Skull’s suggestion is not that bad.’ she thought silently as she looked at Shawn with her confused expression.
"Why? I want to stay here if you can’t stay in our house instead. I don’t see the point of your objection at all..." Denise murmured. She was to keep Shawn safe as much as she could.
"No, you cannot stay here! You’ve been here for everyday for more than ten hours a day. Are you trying to suffocate me with your presence even before the wedding takes place? I don’t think I can handle you anymore than this, in this house of mine!" Shawn said furiously and pulled out Denise from her chair going outside.
"Let me breathe some air," Shawn said irritably as he passed by Old Man Skull’s seat and the latter arched an eyebrow but nodded.
"What’s going on Shawn? That mad psycho man almost agreed for me to stay here beside you... Why did you say NO?" Denise asked in her low tone with an irritated look.
"No... I don’t want you to stay here. I can’t allow you to live in the clutches of this dangerous man. You’re safer that way..." Shawn murmured, he was embarrassed these past few days, frustrated with the feeling that Denise was dragged in this dangerous fight that was going on between Old Man Skull and the Kens.
