"After the delivery of both women, the babies were identified wrongly by the nurses and soon after the birth, one of the boys died. The nurses wrongly took him to be Cecile’s child and after a little formalities, Cecile was informed about it and her guardian took care of the baby’s burial."
"The other woman was about to leave the hospital but the baby got sick and suddenly a request for blood transfusion is required but he did not matched any of the blood type of his parents. There was not even a possibility of segregated genes because the parents both had ’B’ type of blood but the baby is ’A’. This ignited suspicion, so I ordered the double checking of files and also talked to the staff present during the delivery of both women and then i came to discover the mistake that was committed unknowingly by our nurse staff." explained the Chief Physician.
The Chief Physician or also known as Doctor Song at that time, was one of a candidate for promotion to the next Chief Director position of the hospital. After he came to know of all that happened, he at first wanted to immediately resolve the issue but hesitated since all documents were signed by him, even though he was not directly involved in that mistake, his name would still be on the line.
However, the Chief Director had advised him to stay quiet for a while as he looked for a way to how to handle things without involving Doctor Song, who was his bet to get the position he was leaving.
But Doctor Song was an honest man and his conscience could not take the burden of lying to a mother just for a higher position. He was a doctor to help rebuild and sustain life and not a quack who would tell a lie just for power.
That time, after contemplating over the issue, Doctor Song had decided to do what was right. He was on his way to the office of the Chief Director to convince the latter that it would be best for him to come clean and tell the truth but then he heard some voices from the meeting room and stopped when he noticed that the Director was talking to someone.
