Chapter 146: My Present And My Future
Karl was still trembling as he waited for Cecile to speak. They were sitting on one of the bench at the main veranda as they faced each other.
He told her everything and he started it with the moment he had met her. He confessed that he had fallen in love to her that day she said hello. Then he continued as he came clean of everything. He did not leave a single thing that involved Cecile. He told the truth, every little piece of truth from the start.
After his long confession, Karl exhaled loudly. He felt that the heaviness in chest had lightened.
He couldn’t believe that he finally did it. There’s no more hiding, no more secrets.
He looked at Cecile with begging eyes. He was ready to beg on his knees for her forgiveness and so he did.
"I’m really sorry Cecile. I did not intend things to hap..." he repeated but Cecile stopped him.
"Shhh... How many times do you plan to say sorry to me? Things already happened and I understand everything. You did nothing wrong that time... You’re also a victim." said Cecile with her soft calm voice.
"But you know what makes me sad? It’s because you are saying sorry for the wrong thing..." he heard her speak with tone of irritability.
Karl creased his forehead and looked at Cecile with a confused face as he blinked several times. He was quite at lost with the sudden change on Cecile’s expression.
