Chapter 89: Thank You For Loving Me
"Aren’t you going to have dinner with us dear?" Cecile asked her son when Ryu got up to leave and bid his farewell to her.
"No Mom, my wife is waiting for me," Ryu said smiling. One of the reasons he was in their ancestral mansion was to tell his parents about Arya and their marriage.
Cecile sighed and said, "Alright, after you introduce yourself to her parents and come back from the honeymoon, bring her over and let all of us also familiarize with her. You know how things work here so better give her a heads up and prepare her well for all that. We all know how strict your grandfather is."
Ryu didn’t say anything but just smiled, nodded and kissed his mom.
Cecile let out a long sigh. She was relieved that Ryu had finally found a woman he loved and really cared about.
She could feel it in Ryu’s aura; her handsome and cold son was no doubt in love after all his coldness has been replaced by a gentle warmth that melted her own heart also.
She was glad that her son had married for love and not for business or collaborations by an arranged marriage.
She was so disappointed in herself for being stupid enough to push her own son into a cliff due of her stupidity and awful past.
Thank goodness that father has now stopped interfering in selecting partners for the children of the family and the boys could choose whomever they wanted, though he still set up and arrange for dates for them until they have chosen someone in their lives.
"Sigh! Now I have to cancel the lined up dates I had set up for Ryu."
Being part of the Ken Family was hard and she just hoped that Ryu’s wife was a strong headed and strong willed woman unlike herself who was still weak and incapable of handling all the matters on her own and lacked determination in so many things.
