Chapter 53: Tears
"Why are you the one asking for my help?" Old Master Ken hissed at Butler Omni who went directly at Ken Mansion instead of accompanying Ryu and Arya to the courthouse.
"Master, you know how hard-headed that kid is. He won’t ask you for help, knowing that you will not help him without a bargain," Butler Omni said with a pleading voice.
"That brat, how come he can’t get a hold of such a simple matter as that. He was so arrogant, showing me that he can stand on his own, and now he is going to crumble just because of a woman? Let him suffer then and experience failure so he will realize that his power was not enough as I’ve always said." The Old Master exclaimed as he blew a cloud of smoke from his tobacco pipe.
"Master, how come you are so calm at such a time. I thought that Young Master Ryu is your favorite grandchild. Are you going to let him get hurt like this?" Butler Omni insisted.
Then he added exaggeratedly, "Aren’t you afraid of him getting suicidal once he failed on this. You know that powerful people tend to get suicidal after getting heartbroken, especially if it’s a new feeling for them."
Old Master Ken just laughed out hard in Butler Omni’s face and said, "You’ve been his nanny since birth and you are now saying that Ryu might get suicidal? What is this Butler Omni? Don’t tell me you will become suicidal yourself if you encounter that kind of situation in love?"
"Oh, probably the Almighty thought you have a tendency to become suicidal that’s why you are single until now. You’ve been saved then." Old Master Ken continued scornfully with a jest followed by a burst of loud laughter that roared at the whole garden of the mansion.
Butler Omni: ".......?"
"Ohhh, go back to that Brat, you old butler, and tell him that I am willing to make a move only if he is the one to ask for it!" Old Master Ken screeched before waving to dismiss Butler Omni to quickly disappear from his sight.
