Chapter 39: Battered Boyfriend
The next day, Arya got ready to go swimming, so she went out with her one-piece swimsuit and topped it with just a loose shirt that she could easily take off.
She saw Butler Omni outside on a beach chair reading a book.
"How are you feeling now, Butler Omni?" She asked smiling as she sat beside him.
"I am good now, Child. It usually happens whenever I forget to take my medicines to maintain the normal sugar level in my body." He answered as he smiled back at her.
"My dad is also like that. He takes maintenance for high blood pressure. I guess people need it as they age." Arya commented.
"Are you waiting for Ryu?" Butler Omni asked.
Arya just nodded. Ryu was with Regan early to discuss some things pertaining to the ongoing constructions on the island.
Last night, Ryu was a perfect gentleman. He was just sleeping with her, as in literally sleeping who kissed her goodnight, then cuddled her the whole night.
She was now able to sleep soundly like a rod with Ryu by her side. He was like her sleeping pill and she was happy to see that he did not have any bruises so far. She also heard no complains. So she thought that she had managed to sleep still without moving too much.
Ryu was no longer beside her whenever she woke up in the morning. She would usually find him preparing breakfast for themselves. Her every meal was actually prepared by him and he was getting better at it.
He was persistent and so caring. And it really broke her heart to see that sincerity in him. Because she had already decided to disappear from Ryu’s sight as soon as her father was acquitted and released.
