Chapter 14: I Won’t Bite
"Did you invite him to the show?" Kay asked Arya during the rehearsal break.
"Okay, I will get you a VIP ticket for him," Kay said when Arya just shook her head as an answer.
She had never thought about inviting him at all. She thought that she would feel pressure and guilty, knowing he was watching. One of the main reasons was that she didn’t want to drag him into gossip or scandal just because of her.
"Hey, what’s wrong? What’s with your long face, sighing and checking your phone all the time?" Kay asked out of curiosity when he noticed that Arya kept on looking at her mobile phone every now and then.
"Nothing, I’m just thinking if we will be able to see each other today, but I guess we won’t," Arya answered with cheerless tone.
The last call she received from Ryu was at that morning. He reminded her to not forget her meals and about his whole day schedule, though she already knew since she had a copy of his itinerary and important meetings. So, most probably they wouldn’t see each other that day.
Kay frowned and said, "Hey, I told you to guard your heart. You must not let yourself fall for him. That’s too shattering."
"Don’t worry. I do like him, but it is not ’love’ yet, okay? There’s a big difference." Arya defended herself.
She understood Kay because she herself knew that falling for Ryu would just make things more complicated.
