Chapter 116: The Call
"Oh... we are so happy for you!" burst out Lana, as she and May both hugged Keira after Keira narrated what had happened at the night of her birthday.
Finally, the most fleeting dream they thought Keira would have, was achieved with flying colors.
"I never thought that General Lim can be that sweet," commented May with a smile.
"Yeah... He would be a fool if he let go of someone like Keira. I mean she got it all and he can’t ask for anything more! As I said before, he’s such a lucky man to be chosen by Keira," complimented Lana that made Keira flush.
Lana laughed because Keira was acting timid this time around and she was not used to it.
"Yay, so this is what happens when Keira’s love is reciprocated? Cringy and smarmy?" Lana continued to tease.
"Stop teasing. You better start helping me to gather my clothes from the closet and other things," Keira said with pouted lips.
May laughed as she commented, "Auntie is really giving you a hard time, huh? Not letting you to barrow house helpers for this?"
Keira’s face crumpled. May was right. Her mother intentionally did not let their helpers assist her, saying that as she decided to move on her own, she should start living independently.
"Well, she’s angry because you did not let her come and accompany you today," Lana justified. They all knew that sooner or later Mrs. Chan would absolutely give in and check how Keira was doing from time to time.
