Chapter 40: Lin Yue’er’s Repentance
Notting City.
Two white lights flashed down.
Chen Jun and Wu Zui had just used their town portal scrolls to escape the wilderness, returning to the city.
Chen Jun, who had nearly died in the secret realm, let out a long sigh of relief.
"Damn it! That trash actually tried to kill me." Chen Jun seethed with anger.
Wu Zui frowned and said in a low voice, "We underestimated that kid. Who knew he would use the secret realm to set up a trap and ambush us."
Chen Jun clenched his fists, veins bulging in his fury. "If I don't kill Zhang Yue, I swear I'm no man."
"But his strength... it's too overwhelming," Wu Zui pointed out. "And now, with the backing of the Supreme Guild, killing him with our power alone is next to impossible."
Chen Jun sneered coldly. "If we can't kill him ourselves, we'll just find higher-level professionals to do it for us."
Wu Zui pondered for a moment before reminding him, "But Chen-ge, don't forget about the damage equilibrium law in the Otherworld: whether in PvE or PvP, if there's a level gap greater than 10 between opponents, no damage can be dealt."
"Sure, you could find professionals from higher worlds at level 100 or 200, but they won't be able to harm someone like Zhang Yue, who's just around level 10. It's pointless."
