As the white light faded, Zhang Yue materialized in Notting City. Without wasting any time, he set off toward the garrison camp located in the western part of the city.
Ten minutes later, when Zhang Yue arrived at the garrison camp, he saw only one lone figure moving about the large encampment, hunting down flaming zombies.
A glint of recognition sparked in Zhang Yue's eyes when he realized who it was: Su Jinyan. But what caught his attention more than her identity was her unusual method of killing zombies—she was dancing while doing it.
The light rhythm of her steps, accompanied by her graceful swings of the staff, made the entire scene under the moonlight appear almost like a dance of elegance and joy. It was a picturesque moment, one that Zhang Yue couldn't help but appreciate with a smile.
"So lively," Zhang Yue called out, his voice breaking through the night and halting Su Jinyan's dance.
Startled, Su Jinyan quickly stopped and turned around, her face flushing with embarrassment the moment she saw Zhang Yue.
"Wh-when d-did you get here?" she stammered, trying to regain her composure.
"Just now," Zhang Yue replied casually as he walked past her. "Your dance was pretty good—very rhythmic. But let's focus on the task at hand."
As Zhang Yue continued past her, Su Jinyan clenched her robe tightly, her face still red with embarrassment. Internally, she was in turmoil, screaming at herself, 'Oh no, what was I doing? Knowing he would come after dinner, and yet here I was, dancing like that. So embarrassing! My image is completely ruined...'
Zhang Yue glanced back at her, noticing her embarrassment. "Shall we begin?" he asked.
