Oops Alpha, Wrong Luna

Chapter 60

Aria’s POV.

My heart was pounding like a drum in my chest when Alpha Kael spoke. His words hit me like a shockwave, leaving me confused and dizzy.

What was he talking about? Just yesterday, he seemed so angry with me, glaring like I’d done something unforgivable.

Or worse, he acted like he didn’t even want to talk to me. So why was he doing this now? Why was he standing so close, his dreamy, piercing eyes locked on mine in this small, quiet room?

He stepped closer, and I swear my breath caught in my throat. His gaze slid from my eyes down to my lips, slow and deliberate, like he was savoring every second.

It was intense, almost too much. My lips parted on their own, and I could smell his scent—wild, like pine and something dangerous. Inside me, my inner wolf, Kyra, stirred.

She growled low, restless, urging me to let go, to give in to him. She wanted him—badly. But I fought her back, hard.

This felt too good to be true, like something straight out of those old romance novels I used to read.

You know, the ones where the handsome guy sweeps you off your feet, makes you think he’s all yours, then walks away, leaving your heart in pieces.

And if there was one thing I couldn’t handle right now, it was Alpha Kael breaking my heart like that. The thought alone made my chest ache.

I clenched my fists, trying to pull myself together. "I need to leave," I said, my voice shaky but firm.

I pushed myself up from the bed, desperate to escape his gaze, his presence, the way his closeness made my skin tingle.
