The more Danielle thought about it, the more confused she became. Her thoughts tangled together until she could barely distinguish suspicion from doubt.
Even so, she slowly walked toward Asher.
Asher noticed her immediately and quickly stepped forward to stop her.
"Did you receive today’s gift?"
Danielle paused.
"What are you talking about?"
She reached into her bag and pulled out the photographs she had received, holding them out toward him.
"Are you talking about these?"
The moment Asher saw the intimate photographs of Danielle with another man, his expression changed completely.
"What?"
His voice carried genuine shock.
Danielle carefully studied his face. There was no sign of pretense in his eyes, and the confusion in his expression appeared completely sincere.
A quiet sigh of relief escaped her lips.
’So it really was Angel who was manipulating everything.’
A faint chuckle escaped Danielle as she looked at him.
"Well, there are a few more interesting things that you might want to see."
She handed him the letters she had received along with the flowers and chocolates.
Asher took them and began reading.
The longer he read, the darker his expression became.
By the time he finished, the anger in his eyes was impossible to hide.
"I am going to confront her right now."
However, Danielle immediately stopped him.
"Is there even any use in doing that?"
Asher looked at her.
Danielle’s lips curved into a faint smirk.
"I have a better plan."
The following morning, Angel looked toward Danielle and immediately noticed that her eyes were slightly red.
She quietly breathed a sigh of relief. ’It looks like my plan worked.’
Still, she wanted to make absolutely certain. Angel glanced toward Aqua.
Aqua immediately understood the signal.
She walked toward Danielle and slammed her palm firmly against Danielle’s desk, causing the sound to echo through the office.
