Chapter 793: Sisters
Its voice carried genuine gratitude. It had received an unimaginable amount of energy from Ivy's kindness.
And now, it was determined to repay her. However, its expression suddenly became serious.
"There is something else. Your child may not survive beyond four months."
The smile disappeared from Ivy's face. Silas froze. Both of them stared at the bird in shock.
"What do you mean?"
The temporal storage calmly continued, "Your child has already lost half of its natural lifespan. Not only that, but its physical body is also severely damaged. If you want to heal it... just tell me."
Ivy immediately stepped forward. "You can heal my child?"
The Temporal Storage chuckled. "Of course."
The next instant, a warm golden energy spread throughout the room.
It gently enveloped Ivy's entire body. She felt a soothing warmth pass through her skin and settle deep within her abdomen.
Then, she felt a tiny movement inside her stomach. It wasn't a kick. It was something softer.
It felt as though the fragile life growing inside her had suddenly become stronger.
Ivy's eyes widened. She instinctively placed both hands over her stomach.
The Temporal Storage smiled.
"As I said... this is only a fraction of what I can do. My true power is far greater."
Ivy remained silent for several seconds. Then she looked at the golden bird.
"If I didn't know any better... I would think you're some kind of immortal."
The Temporal Storage chuckled. "I wish I were."
It then turned toward Silas. "There is something else. There is a certain poison inside your body."
Both Ivy and Silas immediately frowned. "Poison?"
Silas looked directly at the golden bird. "What kind of poison?"
The bird tilted its head slightly.
"It's a very small amount. Someone has been administering it gradually. As long as that poison remains in your body, there is a high chance that one day it will cause your body to explode from within. Or... you may completely lose control of your mind."
Ivy's and Silas's expressions immediately became grim. Their hands unconsciously tightened into fists.
Neither of them had realised that poison had already been slowly accumulating inside Silas's body.
The temporal storage didn't give them any time to worry. A brilliant golden light immediately enveloped Silas.
