Chapter 783: Chapter 783: Wonton Soup
At that moment, another message suddenly arrived. "Everything on my side has already been prepared. In one day, begin your plan."After reading those words, Silas finally let out a quiet sigh of relief. At least, everything was proceeding according to plan.
Meanwhile, inside the underground base, a pair of soft arms suddenly wrapped themselves around his waist.
Silas lowered his head. Ivy had buried her face against his chest. She looked incredibly sleepy, her half-open eyes still carrying traces of drowsiness.
The blanket covered both of them as they lazily remained in bed. Neither of them had gone to work that day.
For the first time in a long while, Silas had allowed himself a brief moment of peace. He simply wanted to stay beside Ivy.
Ivy rubbed her cheek against his chest before mumbling, "What are you doing?"
Her sleepy voice sounded especially adorable. Silas gently pinched her nose. "You don’t even let me finish a simple communication. Don’t you want Earth to win this battle?"
The moment she heard that, Ivy instantly became more awake. "Of course I do! I wanted it before anyone else. If Earth loses, won’t I be the first one to suffer?"
Silas couldn’t help but laugh. "Don’t worry. As long as I’m here, nothing will happen."
Hearing his reassuring words, Ivy obediently nodded. Then another thought suddenly crossed her mind. "What about Ron? Is he alright now? I already asked Asher to examine him. He won’t have any serious complications for now."
Then he paused. A hint of admiration appeared in his eyes.
"But that guy, he truly possesses an incredible superpower. If only he could evolve it faster, he’d become terrifying."
Curiosity immediately appeared on Ivy’s face. "Really? So, how long did it take him just to stop time for one minute?"
Silas calmly answered, "Six months."
The room instantly became quiet. Ivy’s eyes widened. "Six months?"
She couldn’t believe it. Only one minute. Yet it had required half a year of relentless training.
She immediately asked, "Did he train for... two hours every day?"
Silas slowly shook his head. "No. Almost eighteen hours. He barely slept. For the past several months, he practically pushed his body beyond its limits. He was constantly afraid."
