She paused before looking toward Gwen. "Do you want to come with me?"

"...If I said yes, would you really take me with you?"
Without any hesitation, Annie nodded. "Of course."
The answer came so naturally that Gwen couldn’t detect even the slightest trace of insincerity.
"Then, I want to come."
Deep inside, she wanted to see whether Annie had truly meant everything she said.
Or whether it had all been another lie.

The moment Annie entered, several people greeted her warmly.
Instead of leaving Gwen standing awkwardly behind her, Annie immediately began introducing her.
