Chapter 96: Future Based On Past
"Shh! Are you stupid? I have told you. Only my uncle and I know this method of communication. He must have had some important tasks for me and hence used such a method." Ronan answered with confidence.
Mark gulped nervously, still looking around. "But... It’s too quiet here. I’ve got a bad feeling."
Ronan rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "You’re just scared of the dark. Relax."
Just then, footsteps echoed from behind a wall. All three of them turned their heads sharply.
From the shadows, Silas stepped out. His eyes were cold, darker than they had ever seen. He wasn’t wearing his usual military gear, just a plain black jacket and gloves. But something about him looked terrifying.
"C-Captain Silas?" Peter asked hesitantly.
Silas didn’t answer.
Ronan forced a laugh. "Sir? What are you doing here?"
Before he could finish, Silas grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against the wall.
"Sir? Sir, what are you doing?" Ronan’s voice trembled. How he wished to grow a pair of wings and fly away.
’What has happened to this guy? Why is he here?’
"You monster," Silas growled. "Do you enjoy hurting people who can’t even fight back?"
