Chapter 85: Problems In Military
"Replying to General Dante, not good. The seeds aren’t even germinating." Janet’s expression was sullen, and the mere mention of vegetables filled her with the reminder of what she had experienced in the past 3 months.
There were various problems. The rivers have started to become contaminated, and it just happened that the one they were using for the farming also turned murky and infected with the zombie virus.
It was because many of the brainless zombies fell into the river, gradually polluting the river with their virus.
Aside from water, the seeds couldn’t germinate because of the sudden change in weather. Sometimes it was hot, and sometimes it was cold.
The unstable atmosphere forced them to build a greenhouse, but the problem continued to arise when they realised that buying materials in the apocalypse was even more difficult than finding a gold mine.
No one was ready to sell, and only by repeatedly reaching the higher authorities did they get barely enough to build one greenhouse.
Yet even after so many struggles, the seeds were germinating at all!
Dante interwove his fingers, his elbows on the table, as he contemplated the next course of action.
He and his family had hoarded food, but the problem was that even if he gave 50% of their food, it might not support the army and other survivors or refugees for more than 2 months.
"I have an idea." Silas proposed drawing everyone’s attention.
"Please proceed, Captain Silas." Dante motioned.
"We can recruit more plant-based superhumans and try experimenting again, and also dispatch the team to hunt animals. Maybe not all of them had transformed into zombies, and some of them might have turned mutated."
