Chapter 28: Shocking Discovery
Ivy returned to the Ravencroft family.
The building was eerily calm, and no zombies could be seen. Ivy’s senses had been enhanced, and she knew that the calm was temporary; the storm would soon arrive.
With a lazy expression, she pressed the doorbell.
"Who is there?" Seraphina’s voice sounded a bit distant. Ivy continued to press the bell.
Irritated by the constant ringing, Seraphina opened the door and froze. Ivy gave her a lazy smirk and, without hesitation, slapped her.
"Ahhh!" Seraphina never expected Ivy to be so bold. Due to the unexpected pain, she fell on the floor. By the time she processed her emotions, Ivy had walked inside. Seraphina’s eyes widened in fury, and she stood up,
"You b*tch! Stop right there! Who gave you the right to walk inside? Dis I give you the permission?"
She couldn’t believe Ivy’s audacity. This b*tch was picked up by her. If it wasn’t for Seraphina, Ivy would have died from the cold.
She took the girl into her home, purely because the celestial master she had consulted said that Ivy could bring luck into her house.
Feeding an extra mouth was difficult for the Ravencroft family, yet Seraphina adopted her. So what if she beat Ivy? Can’t she vent a little bit of her anger on Ivy?
And Isla loved Silas, so Ivy, like a good dog, should have made the way. But this b*tch dared to go against her, whipped them, and even slept in Silas’s living room.
