Chapter 181 - Hundred And Eighty One
Suzy closed the door to the room, her hand lingering on the doorknob. "I’ve sent Noah to tell Mrs. Agnes to call the doctor," she said, her voice trembling, her words breaking. "He’ll be... here... soon."
She had carried Ryan with the help of Noah to the room. She sent him to inform Mrs Agnes about what happened and to call for a doctor.
She turned, her eyes meeting Ryan’s. He was hovering over her, his expression intense, his eyes filled with a raw, almost desperate passion. Her hand remained on the doorknob, her fingers gripping it tightly, her eyes filled with a mixture of fear and confusion.
Before she could speak, he kissed her, his lips eager and demanding. She was taken aback at first, her mind still reeling from the events in the carriage, but she quickly gave in, her body responding instinctively to his touch.
While his lips were busy, his hands moved beneath her dress through her slit, slowly removing her stockings. His touch was warm and insistent, his hands caressing her bare thighs, sending shivers down her spine. Suzy moaned, a soft sound emerging from her mouth while her mind raced, a jumble of conflicting thoughts and emotions raking through her.
"Here I am," she thought to herself, her heart pounding in her chest, "not only am I standing at the door, but my leg is lewdly hanging out of my dress, showing enough bare skin. No one in the chateau knows Ryan is here, and Mrs. Agnes will be here soon with the doctor."
She was acutely aware of the naughtiness of the situation, the potential for discovery, but she couldn’t bring herself to push him away. His touch was too intoxicating, his presence too reassuring. She needed him, needed his warmth, his strength, to banish the lingering fear and confusion.
But a nagging worry gnawed at her. She couldn’t reconcile the man before her with the man she knew. He was acting out of character.
"Is Ryan okay?" she wondered, her mind struggling to put together his passionate embrace with his earlier collapse. "I’ve never seen him like this before." He seemed driven, almost frantic, his kisses and caresses bordering on desperate. She couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong, that he was hiding something from her.
