Chapter 134 - Hundred And Thirty Four
Suzy collapsed onto her bed, her heart heavy with sorrow. She stared at the ceiling, her mind racing. "What just happened? What went wrong? What was that for?" she wondered aloud, her voice barely a whisper.
A single tear escaped her eye, rolling down her cheek. She traced the path of the tear with her finger, her touch gentle and comforting. She glanced at her finger, now stained with her tears, and a bitter chuckle escaped her lips. It quickly turned into a forced laugh, a desperate attempt to mask the pain. But the dam broke, and the tears flowed freely, streaming down her face.
She let herself cry, her sobs echoing through the silent room. She had held back her emotions for a while since she left Ryan’s study, bottling them up until they threatened to consume her. Now, she allowed herself to feel the pain, to let it wash over her.
"Crying isn’t a sign of weakness," she whispered to herself. "It’s a sign of strength."
She spoke softly, trying to soothe her own troubled mind. "He isn’t worth your tears, Suzy. How dare he dismiss me in that manner? I’ll make him pay for this."
The words offered little comfort, but she clung to them, hoping they would hold her together. As the tears continued to flow, her body grew heavy, and her eyelids drooped. Soon, she drifted off to sleep, her mind finally at rest.

The first rays of sunlight kissed Suzy’s face, gently coaxing her awake. She stretched lazily, her body feeling heavy from the previous night’s tears. With a sigh, she swung her legs over the bed and stood up.
As she walked to the window, the cheerful chirping of birds filled the air, bringing a smile to her face as she watched them flit from branch to branch. A gentle knock interrupted her peaceful moment.
"Who is it?" she called out.
"It’s Doris, Milady. I’m here to help you get ready," came the reply.
