Portland, Oregon (KGWA): 18 people were found dead in a cabin up in North Cedar Lake near Point Hope, Oregon, three hours south of Portland, Oregon. All victims were believed to have been killed three weeks ago on Sunday, September 24th. Two survivors were taken to the hospital with stab and burn wounds around the same time, police said. These two minors were mysteriously dropped off at the local hospital, but only one regained consciousness and pointed the police to the crime scene.

Among the dead were twelve men and seven women between the ages of twenty-two and forty-seven, according to Fernand Blompkin, PHPD spokesperson. It was not immediately clear how they died. “This is an absolutely horrific tragedy that has fallen on all of Point Hope community, something that certainly will weigh heavily on (the) investigators in this case,” Blompkin said at a nighttime news conference last night.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a white van that arrived at Evergreen Medical Center between 7:02 AM and 7:05 AM when the survivors were dropped off. The suspect remains at large. Investigators have not determined a motive for the attack. However, they were not ruling out the possibility of multiple suspects.
