Chapter 80: Cripple Them All!
"Insolence! Our Luo Family, by seizing first place in the hunting contest, is recognized by the Dayang City Lord Mansion as the premier clan! The Li Family dares to move against us? This is utter disrespect to the Dayang City Lord Mansion! Such a crime deserves death!"
Upon hearing Manager He’s words, the surrounding Luo Family guards drew their blades, roaring in anger.
Muscles twitched on Manager He’s face as he sneered, "A clan that can’t even protect its own estate—what right does it have to call itself the premier clan? We just need to annihilate your Luo Family completely. Then our Li Family will replace you. I believe Dayang City won’t have anything to say then. This world has always been ruled by the strong!"
Luo Feng’s eyes narrowed slightly. He looked at Manager He and burst into laughter, "Hahaha... Well said! This world is indeed ruled by the strong!"
Manager He was unnerved by Luo Feng’s stare. He flicked his sleeve and signaled the Li Family men beside him.
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!
The sound of weapons being drawn echoed. The Li Family attendants each brandished their blades, blocking the main entrance of the restaurant.
"Our Family Head predicted you would come today, so he had me wait here for you. Now, you can all stay here for eternity!"
WHOOSH!
Before his voice faded, Manager He’s eyes turned icy. His figure flickered, appearing before Luo Feng in an instant, a punch aimed at Luo Feng’s face, his sleeve crackling with explosive sounds.
"Young Master! Be careful!" the Luo Family guards roared in unison.
Luo Feng stood his ground, watching Manager He charge towards him, his eyes gleaming coldly. He didn’t dodge. Instead, he casually raised his hand and caught Manager He’s fist, his body as steady as a rock!
Manager He’s cultivation had reached the late stage of the God Bravery Realm. He had thought a single punch would be enough to injure Luo Feng. Yet, he never expected Luo Feng to block it so easily. He couldn’t even budge him an inch and was momentarily stunned.
"Hmph! A mere firefly daring to compete with the bright moon!"
Luo Feng snorted coldly, standing tall and proud. His narrowed eyes glinted with a cold light, his black pupils flickered. His usually somewhat tender face suddenly flickered ominously, as if he were a demonic fiend tearing out from the depths of the Underground Abyss!
CRACK!
He shook his right shoulder, and the air vibrated. A terrifying force surged through Manager He’s fist and into his arm!
BAM!
Manager He let out a miserable scream, his body flying backward uncontrollably.
CRASH!
After smashing through three tables, Manager He landed ignominiously on the ground, his face covered in blood. A bone in his right arm had pierced through the skin, white and stark, exposed to the air—a horrifying sight!
"You think a bunch of nobodies like you can keep me here?"
Luo Feng’s gaze swept across them. He let out a cold laugh, and with a shake of his shoulders, his figure suddenly vanished from everyone’s sight!
BAM! BAM! BAM!
A series of dull thuds resounded. The dozen or so Li Family attendants blocking the restaurant entrance screamed and vomited blood before they even saw what hit them. Some crashed into pillars; others were sent flying out of the restaurant, landing miserably on the street.
In the blink of an eye, all of them were sprawled on the ground. Luo Feng then reappeared at the restaurant entrance, his expression indifferent, as if he had done something utterly trivial.
Manager He’s face was deathly pale, his eyes shot with thick, bloody veins, like a ghoul. He stared at Luo Feng in terror, "Late stage of the God Bravery Realm! Impossible! Just yesterday, you were only in the middle stage of the God Bravery Realm! How could you break through so quickly? And what kind of Light Martial Arts was that?"
Luo Feng snorted, not bothering to explain. With a flicker, he appeared right in front of Manager He.
"Hand me a sword!" Luo Feng waved his sleeve, extended his hand, and commanded.
The dozen or so Luo Family guards standing nearby were all stunned by the scene.
They had heard about Luo Feng’s performance at the hunting contest and knew he was very strong, but they never imagined he would be *this* strong!
A martial artist at the Sixth Level of the God Bravery Realm, along with over a dozen martial artists whose cultivation was no less than the Third Level of the Cultivation Power Realm—all of them beaten and sent flying in the blink of an eye.
What terrifying strength!
Seeing Luo Feng’s resolute demeanor, the Luo Family guards, who had been somewhat anxious due to Manager He’s words, all calmed down. A young martial artist drew his Longsword and respectfully handed it to Luo Feng.
"Young Master, your sword!"
Luo Feng held the steel Longsword, his piercing gaze fixed on Manager He.
"What are you trying to do?" Manager He clutched his right arm. As Luo Feng’s gaze swept over him, he felt as if his very soul was being torn from his body. His entire frame trembled, and he barely mustered the courage to speak weakly, "Luo Feng, you can’t kill me! Otherwise, the Luo Family will be doomed!"
"Doomed?" Luo Feng sneered, his eyebrows raised sharply. His Longsword flashed with a chilling glint.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Manager He screamed repeatedly as bloody lines appeared on his wrists and ankles. His tendons had all been severed. With a thud, he collapsed weakly to the ground.
"You... You dare cripple my limbs! Cripple my cultivation! I will never let you go..." Manager He lay on the ground, seething with uncontrollable rage. His body twitched as he glared at Luo Feng, his eyes looking as if they would tear from their sockets.
THUMP!
Luo Feng kicked the still-cursing Manager He, sending him flying. He said coldly, "You’re a cripple now. From now on, you can only crawl on the ground like a dog, begging for scraps. How exactly do you plan to get revenge on me?"
Manager He’s lips twitched, but he couldn’t utter a single word.
For a martial artist, the greatest fear isn’t death, but the loss of cultivation. That feeling was like plummeting from the highest peak into the deepest abyss. Without cultivation, one became a cripple, destined to be scorned by others for life.
Luo Feng no longer looked at Manager He on the ground. He turned his gaze to the other Li Family attendants who were still groaning nearby, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.
"Cripple them all!"
The Li Family actually wanted to exterminate his clan. Luo Feng was seething internally; he wanted to slaughter every member of the Li Family and would show no mercy!
The eleven battle-hardened Luo Family guards standing by couldn’t help but feel a chill in their hearts.
The look in Luo Feng’s eyes at that moment was more terrifying than that of a Demon Beast, making it hard for them to look directly at him.
"Yes!"
Coming to their senses, the eleven Luo Family guards drew their swords and charged menacingly at the nearby Li Family attendants.
In an instant, the entire street was filled with agonizing screams.
After the cleanup, Luo Feng mounted his horse. He reached into his storage ring, and the nearly man-high Tiger Soul Saber appeared in his hand. His steed’s legs buckled slightly under the sudden weight.
SWOOSH!
The saber flashed, cleaving a two-meter-tall red rock and purple jade lion statue beside the Watching Moon Tower in half. Luo Feng’s eyes, fierce as a tiger’s, made him resemble a demonic fiend from the nine heavens. He glared towards the Luo Family’s estate, spurred his horse, and roared, "I’d like to see who can exterminate our Luo Family! Follow me! We fight our way back!"
"Kill!"
The eleven Luo Family guards, inspired by Luo Feng’s momentum, mounted their horses. They let out a long howl that echoed throughout the street. The twelve riders, brimming with killing intent, galloped away, leaving a trail of dust in their wake.
The entire street fell into an eerie silence. Everyone was stunned by the sudden turn of events.
Only long after Luo Feng and his men had disappeared did the crowd of onlookers gradually recover from their shock.
"Who would have thought the Li Family would be so audacious as to try and destroy the Luo Family!"
"That’s no surprise. Li Yantian, the Li Family Head, is overbearing and vicious. He has always seen the Luo Family as a thorn in his side. How could he willingly submit to Luotian, let alone be managed by the Luo Family?"
"Aside from that, Luo Feng, the second young master of the Luo Family, was incredibly fierce. His cultivation has already reached the late stage of the God Bravery Realm. At just fifteen, to have such cultivation is truly remarkable! If he continues to grow, he should definitely be on the list at the next Four Great Academies’ New Talent Conference!"
The people nearby nodded in agreement. A middle-aged martial artist with discerning eyes sighed and shook his head, "It’s often said that heaven is jealous of exceptional talent. This time, the Li Family, allied with the Han Family and the Qiu Family, possesses immense power. The Luo Family will likely find it difficult to resist..."
The crowd murmured among themselves; everyone understood. A storm was brewing over Panlong City.
「Panlong City, Han Clan!」
THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!
A series of hurried footsteps echoed outside a quiet courtyard deep within the Han Clan’s estate.
Han Ji, his fair cheeks slightly flushed, burst into the courtyard, exclaiming excitedly, "Father, it’s started! It’s started!"
"Ji’er, what’s the matter? Why are you in such a hurry? Haven’t I told you not to disturb me unless it’s urgent?" a middle-aged man standing in the courtyard frowned at Han Ji.
His aura was even more potent than Luotian’s or Li Yantian’s. As he stood there, a sharp glint flickered deep within his composed gaze, resembling a dormant Jiao Dragon, capable of overturning rivers and seas!
If Luo Feng were present, he would undoubtedly be shocked.
This middle-aged man was Han Yulong, the former City Lord of Panlong City, rumored to have died in the Black Moon Forest, devoured by a Demon Beast!
"Father, the Li and Luo Families have started fighting! The Li Family, allied with the Han Family and Qiu Family from within the city, has attacked the Luo Family’s estate! It seems the Luo Family cannot hold out." Han Ji took a quick breath, his eyes flickering as he explained.
"What!" Han Yulong’s expression changed. His eyes glinted for a moment, then he laughed heartily, "Haha, they’ve finally made their move! My feigned death wasn’t in vain after all!"
"Ji’er, go and gather our clan’s forces immediately! Once the Li Family breaches the Luo Family’s defenses and both sides are heavily injured from the clash, we will seize the opportunity!" Han Yulong waved his sleeve, a formidable aura emanating from him.
"Yes, Father!"
The moment he had been waiting for had finally arrived. Han Ji agreed excitedly and quickly strode out of the courtyard.
Han Yulong watched Han Ji depart, a cold glint in his eyes. Looking towards the city, he murmured coldly, "The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind! Luotian, Li Yantian, don’t blame me for my ruthlessness. Only by eliminating you both can I hand over the Han Clan to Ji’er with peace of mind..."
The greatest threat to Han Ji, whose cultivation was mediocre, becoming City Lord, was the overwhelmingly powerful Li Family and Luo Family.
Hence, Han Yulong devised this scheme of faking his death, allowing the Li Family and Luo Family to engage in a bloody conflict, so the Han Clan could reap the benefits.
Han Yulong had initially thought Li Yantian would become the City Lord, never expecting the variable that was Luo Feng to appear.
But events still unfolded as he had predicted. This large-scale, bloody conflict between the Li Family and Luo Family would surely result in significant losses for both sides.
When that time came, the Han Clan could legitimately reclaim their position as the premier clan!
