Chapter 30: Before the Titan Poseidon sailed (3)
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" A violent knock came from outside the door, waking Rasputin who was sleeping. When she woke up, she only felt a sharp headache, and bursts of sour gas rushed up to her throat, making her just want to vomit.
"It looks like it's not a good thing to drink too much," Rasputin complained, put on a veil, and was about to get up.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Maybe it was because the person didn't hear Rasputin's reply, the knock on the door became even more anxious.
"Got it! Got it! I'm coming. Seriously, it's very rude to disturb others' rest so early in the morning. I would be angry if it wasn't important." Dragging the exhausted body, Rasputin walked to the door and opened it.
The one who knocked on the door was a middle-aged mage wearing a level five mage cloak, which surprised Rasputin a little. She thought it was a hotel clerk to remind her that she should have breakfast.
"Are you the level six mage, Mr. Rasputin?" The mage asked her politely.
"Yes, I am Rasputin. What's the matter?" Rasputin was not surprised by the misidentification of her gender by others. It seemed that in the eyes of most people, a young level six mage could only be a man.
"I am the deputy guild leader of the Taji City mage Guild. On behalf of the Taji City mage Guild, I sincerely invite you to be the guards of Titan Poseidon, a ship that will begin its first sail in two days. I hope you can accept the invitation." The middle-aged mage informed Rasputin of his intention.
"The Titan Poseidon, the first steel giant in history made by the Mage Guild? I would be honoured to accept the invitation! But who else will be on this ship? How much can I get if I join the guards?" Rasputin raised most critical questions straightforwardly.
