[VRMMO] Chaos Doctor

Chapter 599 - 598 – Ice Mountain – Part 10.

Phantasia descended down the spiral stairs… Before then arriving at the bottom where he found a door.

Without any hesitation, Phantasia approached the door and opened it.

"!"

As Phantasia went inside, he found… Odd scenario?

He was expecting a temple or maybe something dungeon look like.

But instead, he found himself to what appears to be a palace made out of ice.

[You have entered the dungeon: Ice Palace]

"…Okay?" – said extremely confused Phantasia as he walked forward.

(I mean, each of the temples had somewhat… Well, their own look and everything.) – thought Phantasia.

(But this?)

(I was not prepared.) – thought Phantasia as he noticed that on top of the massive stairs, an ice particles started gathering, before then forming a long and beautiful dress… Before then inside of it formed a beautiful pale skinned woman with long nails.

"Tell me. Are you the priest of this temple?" – asked Phantasia.

"Indeed I'm." – said the woman as she looked from above at Phantasia.

"I'm the one who sings once the winter seasons comes." – replied the beautiful woman.

"I'm the Songstress Of Winter."

"And I'm…?"

"?" – the woman suddenly stopped speaking and was looking directly at Phantasia with bit confused expression.

"…"

"Wait… You a divinity wielder?" – asked the Songstress.

"Indeed I'm." – replied Phantasia.

"…"

"By any chance… Do you wield the divinity of the goodness of oasis and beauty?" – asked the Songstress.

"!?"

"…"

"How do you know that?" – asked alarmed Phantasia.

(The other guardians only knew I had divinity!) – thought Phantasia.

(But she exactly knew WHAT exactly divinity I have?!)

(This is new!)

"Easy there. I don't mean any harm." – said the songstress as she started walking down the stairs.

"My goodness, the goodness of winter, was the close friend with the goodness of oasis and beauty."

"?"

"You knew E'kun?" – asked Phantasia.

"Indeed." – replied the Songstress as she arrived at the bottom of the stairs and stared walking straight towards Phantasia.

"The goodness of oasis and beauty was friends with all four gods of seasons."

"So were our churches."

"We were close friends… And I've encountered her excellency E'kun before… I know what her divinity is."

"So, it wasn't really hard for me to tell."

"Still… I didn't expected her successor to be… Well…"

"A monster?" – said Phantasia before the Songstress could finish.

"I don't take any offence in this, since I'm pretty much a one."

"…Still, the fact that you had obtained her divinity and I don't smell that disgusting smell of those bastards on you means that you had obtained this divinity fair and square."

"But still, I know the rules." – said Phantasia.

"One divinity per person and that I cannot claim the divinity stored in here."

"?"

"If you knew such thing, then why you came here?" – asked the Songstress.

"…"

"Okay… The situation outside is… Beyond fucked up." – said Phantasia as he started explaining what is happening, about the organization, the situation outside, the chaotic war… And that the three major faction knows about the existence of the divinities and are now battling over them.

"WHAT?!" – shouted the Songstress.

"They know about the divinities and are now in this moment assaulting the temples of the elder gods?!"

"Yeb." – replied Phantasia.

"The elven slaves of the spirit realm had came here, but they fought the ice dragons… Which are now somewhat completely evil and they betrayed this world pretty much and what not."

"So yeah…That is overview of the entire situation."

"…I… What the hell is going on outside?" – asked the Songstress as she sat down on the bench made out of ice.

"It was a man made doing." – replied Phantasia.

"Somebody had spread that information around and even gave the precise locations of the temples the invaders and the clan of the traitorous ice dragons."

"The culprit behind that chaos knew exactly where your temple was… And that is what I want to ask something regarding this."

"Did anybody came here before me?"

"They may had been the one who brough in that chaos."

"…"

"There was one." – said the Songstress.

"…"

"Who?" – asked Phantasia as he was barely keeping it in.

"I don't really knew who they were… Their voice was distorted while they also wore cloths that would make it hard for me to tell what gender they were or race… They made sure they wouldn't be recognized." – said the Songstress.

"They even hid their behind pure white mask."

"When I've encountered them, they asked for the trial."

"I welcomed them per rules… But after I agreed to show them the trial, they just left."

"…"

"Fuck…" – said Phantasia as he squadded in place.

(SO, THERE WAS SOMEBODY FUCKING HERE!) – thought annoyed Phantasia.

(And they even took extra measures in case somebody did asked her for the information….)

"…"

"He didn't weld the power of the invaders." – said the Songstress.

"That is the only thing I can really tell you."

"…"

"!"

"I have a question." – said Phantasia.

"This place, the Ice Mountain, where the temple is located."

"Whenever it is damage, does the surface of the mountain have any ability repair itself?"

"Well… Yes. The cold of this place will keep repairing it over time." – replied the Songstress.

"God fucking dammit." – said Phantasia.

(So, the mountain can really repair itself.) – thought Phantasia.

(There goes one my leads.)

"?"

"Is… This related?" – asked the Songstress.

"Yeb… I want to know HOW they knew that the temple could be here?" – replied Phantasia.

"The only way to get here would be to dig down from the very top of the mountain."

"However, I didn't SEEN any damage or sights of digging on my way here."

"…So does the insides of the mountain also repair itself?"

"…Yes" – replied worried Songstress.

"…In other words, they could had used the digging in method, which would leave no evidence."

"But there is no REAL confirmation that they did that."

"Honestly, if you said that it didn't, it would suggest that they could somewhat repair the mountain of their own."

"…"

"Question. Is there any other way to get here?"

"No… Unfortunately, there isn't." – replied the Songstress.

"Fuuuuuuuccckkkk." – said Phantasia as he just sat on the ground.

(Honestly, digging seems like the main way of possible getting here.) – thought Phantasia.

(And nobody would even find out since the mountain repair itself.)

(HOWEVER! THERE IS FUCKING PROBLEMS!)

(For example, shadow magic. It allows you to turn into a shadow and slip into the tight spaces without any problems.)

(Or even teleportation skills. These kind of skills always have some conditions and restrictions… But there are a lot of type of skills out there, so there maybe a skill that would allow somebody to get here, even though they were never here before.)

(HELL! THERE COULD BE A SKILL OUT THERE THAT JUST ALLOWS SOMEBODY TO JUST WALK THROUGH THE WALLS LIKE A GHOST AND WITHOUT EVEN DIGGING, THEY COULD JUST ENTER THIS PLACE!)

"…"

"What do you plan on doing?" – asked the Songstress.

"Me?" – replied Phantasia.

"Well… I will be guarding this temple until the worthy successor shows up. I have already somebody prepared, but they are not ready… And there maybe good chance that there are more dragon clans who turned traitor as well as the fact that the spirits also knows about that location."

"In other words, if I fall, you may to brace yourself for these bastards."

"…"

"I understand." – replied the Songstress as Phantasia stood up and headed for the exit.

"…"

"By the way." – said Phantasia as he was about to open up the doors.

"Is there any chance you may reveal me what the trial will be about?"

"…"

"No." – replied the Songstress.

"…I see." – replied Phantasia as he was opening up the door.

"However!" – said the Songstress, instantly stopping Phantasia in place.

"I will make expectation for you, since the situation really calls for it."

"The invaders at any cost cannot get their hands on the divinities."

"And so, I will tell you what the trial will be about."

"Oh… I wasn't really expecting that… I mean, I thought it would be at least worth a try… But nothing else." – replied Phantasia.

"Thanks?"

"No… I thank you." – replied the Songstress.

<<Welp, I've gotten what the trial was about… Which was a haul I didn't expected to get.>>

<<Still, it will help us at getting the divinity from this place much easier.>>

<<However, NOW THERE IS A FUCKING PROBLEM!>>

<<That "person".>>

<<We have another "HAHA! I WAS THE VILLIAN IN THE SHADOWS ALL THE TIME" kind of situation all over again.>>

<<I've my group about the situation… About that unknown player.>>

<<And just like me, they were not happy about my discovery.>>

<<…Still… We had to move forward.>>

<<The two temples had been secured.>>

<<Now all we have to do is defend them.>>

<<It probably won't be easy… Heck, I can straight imagine myself losing and letting somebody else claim the divinity here.>>

<<A gamble… A straight up gamble where there is a chance that either me or Maparapara will fail and we may not be able to give divinity to one or even both of our members.…>>

<<…>>

<<Still, this is the only choice we had left.>>

<<While speaking to Maparapara, I've told her to make contact with the priest of the temple she encountered and explain in the details the current situation outside.>>

<<…And I've made another call afterwords.>>

<<I've contacted Powin.>>
