Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 258 - 257: Blockage

With the addition of Rank 4 demons, the entire battle took a turn.

Their very presence distorted reality itself. They were like beings not meant for this dimension.

Everyone felt an immense pressure pressing down on them, even though it wasn't directed at them.

To Rank 3 beings, the might of Rank 4s was undeniable. Their clash was beyond comprehension.

It was as if everything—from light to existence itself—was being pulled into the center of their collision. Realms, realities, and worlds perished. A black hole filled with terrifying energy was formed.

Vroom. Vroom. Vroom.

A pulsing sound echoed as the black hole expanded and collapsed again and again.

At the center, the Rank 4 beings clashed. Their every attack was invisible to those below, wrapped in a higher energy. It wasn't a law—no, it was something far beyond that. Something the lower beings couldn't understand. One moment it was within their reality, the next it was completely blocked off.

Shhhhrhrhrhr…

A deafening screech tore across dimensions as cracks spread outward.

The shattering reached the fifth dimension, where it finally became visible to Void and the other Rank 3 beings.

Shit… is that how strong Rank 4 beings are? Void thought as he groaned and he wasn't the only one.

Countless Rank 3 beings groaned under the pressure. It wasn't enough.

Space shattered layer by layer, higher dimensions revealing themselves. The collision of Rank 4 beings threatened to swallow everything into it.

Their attacks weren't grand or flashy. They appeared as tiny dots of light to the naked eye—but within each dot was energy vast enough to create, or destroy, an entire multiverse.

No—more suited to destroy than to create.

Though Rank 3 beings were called multiversal, they could not create a true multiverse.

Phantoms of Rank 4 beings flickered into view—holy, destructive figures filled with a power beyond comprehension. They seemed both present and yet untouchable.

But this was war. And after that short interruption, the Rank 3 and lower beings resumed their slaughter.

With Blood on his face , he licked his lips, thirst in his crimson eyes.

He could almost taste the higher power. Through this battle, he had reached the peak of Rank 3. Lord Beerus, the strongest god of destruction from Dragon Ball, was without a doubt Rank 4. Whis, his attendant, was Rank 5. Void was closer to Beerus than whis and void was closer to a Rank 0 being than to Rank 4.

That was the gap—the yawning chasm between Rank 3, Rank 4, and Rank 5.

Yet Void didn't feel small at all.

He carried titles to his name. He was a Rank 3 demon who had destroyed countless worlds. His slaves were the finest. Which so-called MC could challenge him?

Void had unknowingly developed arrogance.

(Host has become cocky.)

The clear mechanical voice rang out. Void knew it well—it was his golden finger, his system.

This was one of the greatest reasons for his growth.

Void laughed as he watched the battlefield burn.

"And so what?" Void asked, his face twisting. His blood coursed through his veins like divine elephants stomping against the ground.

(There is always a world above a world, a heaven above another heaven. Host might be a frog in a well, looking up at the sky. To the frog, the sky seems near, even reachable. But to one outside the well, the truth is clear—the sky is far, far away.)

Void froze.

The system was right. He was being cocky. Yes, he was a peak Rank 3 demon. He could return to a multiverse, lead it, and abandon all plans. But a true multiverse wasn't so simple.

In the entire history of the Abyss, Rank 3 demons who had devoured a multiverse of that caliber were few and far between.

Why?

Because peak multiverses contained peak multiversal beings. Even if their power systems differed, they could not simply be steamrolled.

Those multiverses were alive—self-conscious, with anomalies of their own that acted as guardians.

And now that Void thought about it, he hadn't seen reincarnators in that multiverse. Something was definitely off.

He turned back to the battlefield. Golden and black blood flooded the space, corrupting everything. In this zone, anything below Quasi-Rank 3 was instantly annihilated.

Another forbidden zone had been born.

"You're right, system and also The battles of higher beings are destruction for the lower," Void said, feeling his power surge.

"Wait… come to think of it, that planet and universe's time should have recovered. Meaning… it's time for a snack."

Void grinned.

Elsewhere…

On the planet where Void and Kalu had once fought, centuries had passed. The world evolved. Strange energies pierced the land, forcing every creature to evolve, stage by stage, into beings of myth.

But ever since Void gave Shera power, she grew endlessly. She stood alone at the top. She singlehandedly opened an entire era.

Her name spread far and wide. Even as humanity ventured into space, Shera alone protected them, building a place for humanity to thrive.

She crushed so-called beast gods, Norse gods, every myth and legend of Earth. She fought star beasts and carved her path in space. Stage after stage fell before her like butter under a knife.

And yet… though feared and revered, Shera sat alone in a cabin on a small planet in the Human Federation.

Humanity was now among the top races of the universe. Shera was the strongest known being. But now, her face was twisted with desperation.

Because she knew—their peak was only the beginning.

She always returned to Earth, the founding planet, where Void and Kalu had fought. The stronger she became, the clearer she saw: the powers displayed that day were not ordinary.

"Why… why… why can't I break through!?" Shera screamed as she collapsed to the floor.

She, who had crushed every stage like butter, was now stuck. No treasure, no method could help her advance.

It was destroying her.

"I want to know why…" she whispered as her eyes closed.

For the first time in a long time, she slept—not by choice, but from sheer exhaustion.

Her chest rose and fell. Her breath calmed. The forest grew peaceful again, animals sensing the soothing energy of her slumber.
