Chapter 121: Liu Huaming’s Dinner Party
The whole dinner meeting was simpler and more mundane than Li Jing had anticipated.
Most of the conversation at the table was led by Zhou Shun, while Liu Huaming only occasionally chimed in. He didn’t deliberately put on a cold face; it seemed more like he was naturally not a talkative person, which was somewhat different from what Li Jing had expected.
However, the faint air of authority that Liu Huaming exuded allowed Li Jing to sense that he was someone who had held a leadership position for many years.
Fortunately, Zhou Shun was there with his outspoken personality; otherwise, a meal with a person of such character as Liu Huaming would probably have been awkwardly silent for Li Jing.
What surprised Li Jing was that later in the meal, Liu Huaming took the initiative to chat with him. From his expression, it was clear that Liu Huaming was somewhat surprised by Li Jing’s eloquence and ideas.
Li Jing guessed that Liu Huaming might have taken him for a privileged heir, so he was a bit astonished by some of Li Jing’s perspectives during the conversation.
And these views happened to align with some of Liu Huaming’s, which led to a somewhat favorable first impression of Li Jing.
The interaction between Li Jing and Liu Huaming was noticed by Zhou Shun, who saw that the two could get along and thus became even more enthusiastic about creating a lively atmosphere at the dinner.
After the dinner ended, Liu Huaming intentionally lingered and asked Li Jing to leave first.
After watching the blue Maserati disappear from view, Liu Huaming accepted a cigarette from Zhou Shun, allowed him to light it, took a puff, and exhaled slowly, remarking in a low voice, "This person seems quite steady, not as impetuous as other young people."
Zhou Shun lit a cigarette for himself and said, "Captain Liu, would the person I introduced to you be unreliable? This President Li graduated from a prestigious university, previously worked as a project manager, and made money in some investments. He might still have some assets back home.
Overall, even though he’s wealthy, he doesn’t show off extravagantly. He’s capable and quite reliable in his actions."
