Chapter 74 Dressing Advice
"What nonsense are you talking about, kid?"
Wei Jia’s cheeks turned slightly red but quickly regained composure, then she sternly said, "Keep it up and I won’t buy you books."
"A gentleman’s word is his bond, you can’t break your promise!" Wei Zheming immediately became anxious.
"I’m a woman, not a gentleman. That doesn’t work on me."
After speaking, Wei Jia stopped paying attention to him and turned back to Li Jing, saying, "I haven’t shown you around the courtyard yet. Would you like to take a walk?"
Seeing her stand up, Li Jing also wanted to see the courtyard, so he agreed, "Sure, let’s admire President Wei’s large courtyard."
Upon hearing this, Wei Jia smiled slightly and said, "My little place isn’t worth much; when you buy a mansion, that’s when I should visit and admire it."
Then, Wei Jia walked forward and opened the small wooden door to the backyard, introducing as she walked, "This is the garden I’ve had someone help me maintain. It doesn’t have many high-end or exotic plants, but it has a rich variety, fresh air, and is great for a stress-relieving walk."
Li Jing followed her gaze, observing the garden which was indeed spacious, without particularly rare plant species, yet the design and environment were meticulous, making it especially pleasant to walk through.
Walking in the garden, Li Jing admired the scenery while occasionally catching the faint scent of Wei Jia’s subtle perfume from beside him, which added to the pleasurable experience.
Li Jing occasionally glanced at Wei Jia, noting that despite being thirty, her skin was exceptionally well-maintained—white as snow and as smooth as fine jade—which made one want to reach out and touch it.
