No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother

Chapter 190 - 188: Learned So Well [13th Update]

"Mom, I saw this dress first, but Maya insists on taking it from me." Elia saw Hannah coming and immediately complained to her as if she had found a supporter.

Hannah saw that the person fighting over the clothes with Elia was Maya and her face immediately turned sour. She quickly called over the salesperson to admonish them.

"Two customers fighting over a dress and you’re just standing here watching the show? Don’t you know to bring another one out?"

If Elia’s opponent were someone else, Hannah would have already been aggressive.

But things have changed; Maya is someone they can’t afford to provoke, so she vented her anger on the salesperson instead.

After scolding the salesperson, she pulled Elia aside and said, "Elia, this dress is already torn, give it to her."

Maya coldly mocked as she watched Hannah ignore her, "Aunt Hannah, long time no see, you’ve returned to the Spencer family! How come when I’m not around, your status is nothing like before?"

Hannah listened to Maya’s taunting, gritting her teeth as she thought about the hardships she suffered abroad in the past two years.

She had long suspected that the photos were sent by Maya to take revenge on her.

Maya is really something, a master of using others to do her dirty work. She had been ruined by Maya over the years.

Even if she was entirely convinced of her suspicion, she dared not accuse Maya, she was about to become the third young lady of the Spencer family.

One can’t say for sure, but she might even become the Manager of the Spencers in the future.

So, she could only swallow this grievance and blame herself for not being as farsighted as Jane Spencer, for offending this Little Demon.

Thus, she endured and said softly, "If you like this dress, you can have it. We’ll take the stock version."

"Mom! Why are you giving in to her? Just because she’s going to marry Third Brother, does it mean she doesn’t have to make sense?" Elia couldn’t stand being trampled by Maya.

Moreover, there’s a long way to go. She couldn’t let Maya feel she was easy to bully from the start.

At this moment, the salesperson standing aside cautiously said, "Madam Spencer, I’m sorry, this dress is a limited edition, there’s only this one in S City currently."

Actually, Maya saw this dress first and quickly took it first.

But the two women, one is the fourth young lady and the other is the about-to-be third young lady of the Spencer family, she couldn’t afford to offend either.

So she just stood nearby, letting them argue, whoever won would get the dress.

Madam Spencer listened to the salesperson’s words, glanced at the dress Maya was holding, and said, "Elia, this dress is so plain! Let’s go to another counter to choose something good."

"Oh! Aunt Hannah is really sensible now, indeed having suffered hardship makes one learn to behave." Maya watched Hannah’s concession and smirked coldly.

Seeing Hannah’s meekness, Maya wanted even more to provoke her, to see her evil nature.

"Maya, you need to know your limits, I’m still your elder." Hannah was furious at Maya’s sarcasm, remembering fondly the days of using the family whip.

If she could, she wished she could beat Maya until she was torn to shreds. Unfortunately, she could do nothing to Maya now, all she could do was reminisce about the times she beat her, to soothe her anger.

Maya looked at Hannah’s furrowed brow and the fury in her eyes, and she couldn’t help but laugh coldly.

She took two steps forward, pressing close to Hannah’s body, leaned in her ear, and asked, "Aunt Hannah, do you particularly miss beating me now, want to whip me a couple of times, right?"

"Maya, fortunes change, don’t bully others with your power." Having her thoughts read by Maya, Hannah’s arrogance quickly faded.

She secretly reminded Maya not to bully others relying on her current power, to leave herself a way out.

However, Maya felt her reminder was ridiculously funny, she couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

After laughing, her eyes immediately became sharp, no longer ridiculing Hannah but seriously announced, "Aunt Hannah, my presence here is to tell you that your fortune has run out. The past accounts, we’ll settle them slowly."

"Third Brother!" Maya’s words had just ended when Elia called out to Third Brother.

She instinctively looked up towards the counter entrance to see Liam walking towards them, with Elijah Reed following behind him.

Their eyes met, and Maya dismissively rolled her eyes at someone.

Liam glanced at the three people and instantly understood what was going on.

He originally came just to see Hartley Shaw’s newly opened jewelry store, not expecting to run into these gods, and they were clashing over a dress.

"Third Brother, we didn’t deliberately argue with Maya, I saw that dress first, and later we said we’d give it to her, but she wouldn’t let it go, and she mocked my mom."

Elia feared Maya would blacken them, so she quickly made her complaint first.

Moreover, this issue was indeed Maya being more aggressive.

Liam listened to Elia’s complaint, didn’t respond, and walked to Maya, grabbing the dress she was holding, furrowing his brow, and scolded, "Quite capable now, huh?"

On the side, Hannah saw Liam reprimand someone, immediately played nice, "Liam, it’s just a matter of a dress, we don’t want it."

Liam knew exactly what sort of people Hannah and Elia were, so he couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to them.

Maya listened to someone’s questioning, looked up at him, and asked leisurely, "Is Third Young Master too idle, managing women’s dress purchases?"

After saying this, she snatched the dress from Liam’s hand, ready to pay and leave.

But Liam grabbed it back again, snatched the dress, and threw it in Elia’s arms.

This time, Maya wouldn’t have it, reached out to grab the dress but was held back by Liam.

Finally, she angrily questioned, "What do you mean?"

"Maya, is your emotional intelligence negative? As a sister-in-law, you don’t even know how to please your sister-in-law?" Liam looked at her arrogant demeanor, wanting to curb her arrogance.

Maya was boiling with anger at the man’s statement, that dress was clearly hers, she just couldn’t be bothered to argue.

Now it turned out well, Elia and Hannah performed a pitiful act, making her seem like she was bullying, though she was bullying.

Moreover, Liam’s attitude was really annoying, why should she please Elia?

Thinking about it, they were all surnamed Spencer, only protecting their own.

Suddenly, she turned around with a big smile and said to Elia, "Little sister-in-law, Three Sister-in-law was rude earlier, please forgive me, this dress, Three Sister-in-law gives it to you."

After saying this, Maya grabbed the dress from Elia’s arms, ready to pay.

But, just when everyone relaxed their guard, Maya suddenly tore the dress and threw it onto Elia, saying, "Dream on if you think I’ll flatter the Spencers!"

After saying this, she turned around, swaying her hips, and swaggered out of the store.
