Chapter 173 - 171 You Misunderstood [2nd Update]
Maya Spencer took a deep breath, her face showing no hint of happiness.
Three years ago, she tried every way possible to leave this man, and now he has become her betrothed, how ironic.
Sitting to her left, Liam Spencer listened to her unsettled breathing, turned his head to glance at her, and rarely saw a different expression on her usually lazy face.
The corners of his mouth slightly lifted, a smirk that was more mocking than anything else.
Maya’s gaze didn’t fall on Liam; she didn’t see his displeasure caused by her little mood.
Subsequently, dozens of eyes in the room simultaneously turned toward her.
"Maya, do you have any objections to the wedding arrangements?" Old Master Spencer asked with a full smile, seeming quite fond of her.
Hearing her grandfather’s question, Maya swallowed and solemnly declared, "Grandpa, I want to marry Kinsley Spencer!"
As soon as she finished speaking, everyone was stunned; after three years, she was still so reckless.
Seeing everyone’s astonished expressions, Maya felt quite pleased inside. She glanced at Liam from the corner of her eye, then raised her head and said casually, "Sorry, I’m going to the bathroom!" With that said, she pulled out her chair and left the room.
In the bathroom, she hadn’t even had time to see her reflection in the mirror when someone yanked her, her back slamming heavily against the cold wall, and an overwhelming kiss made her mind go blank.
Maya listened to the man’s sarcasm, then sneered contemptuously, reminding him, "Liam, are you in too much of a hurry? Am I your wife, or your sister-in-law? Grandpa hasn’t decided yet."
"Ha ha!" All she got in response was two cold laughs.
The familiar laughter made her take a deep breath, a bad premonition creeping up.
Sure enough, his hands, which had been resting on the wall, suddenly gripped her chin with his left hand, while his right hand rudely slid under her skirt.
She wanted to call out for help, but heard Elijah Reed’s voice from outside the door, "Excuse me, miss, the restroom is under maintenance, please move elsewhere."
Liam found the girl’s reminder laughably absurd; without his nod of approval, who dared to marry her?
Hence, he asked, "Sister-in-law? Maya, do you think you have that chance?"
"Liam, let me go." In truth, Maya felt afraid; she had always been terrified of the man behind her.
"Maya, are you scared? If you’re scared, then whose courage let you get rid of my child?"
"You misunderstood, that wasn’t your child."
"Refusing to cry until you see the coffin, Maya, if you dared show up in front of me, you should have known what you would face!"
"Hmm..."
Her right cheek pressed against the wall tried hard to support herself, attempting to push away Liam pressed close to her, but he shoved her even tighter against the wall.
Then, her small hands placed flat against the wall began to resist, but Liam released his grasp on her waist and tightly grabbed her wrists, preventing her from moving.
Every time Maya struggled, Liam would retaliate by slamming into her, making her hurt to the point where even breathing was painful.
The tearing sensation within her body fueled an ever-growing hatred toward Liam, be it in the past or now, he was always so presumptuously bullying her.
As his movements quickened, her hands balled into tight fists, helplessly braced against the wall, her eyes filled with hatred unbeknownst, becoming red, yet tears never fell.
This pain was identical to that night three years ago, even the sense of humiliation was the same.
She bit her lips tightly, controlling her body’s natural reaction; she refused to feel anything for his body, did not want to make any sound that could let him mock her.
The present Liam looked at Maya’s stubborn little face, hating her with gritted teeth, especially when he recalled her laughing and chatting with other men a few days ago, his anger burned even more.
Moreover, over these years, whenever he thought of her privately getting rid of their child, the pain in his heart remained the same, not diminishing one bit.
Then, he released her wrists, freed his right hand, gently pinched her neck, his finger hooked under her lower jaw, using slight force to turn her face to meet his gaze.
Maya’s scent was just as captivating to him as it was three years ago; yet, with hatred in his heart, Liam no longer wished to care for her as he did then, only focused on tormenting her.
"Hmm..." Maya only protested with whimpers again when she could no longer stand.
Although she had learned taekwondo over the past three years and wasn’t unskilled, in front of Liam, she was still as powerless as she had been three years ago, incapable of any counter-attack.
"Maya, feeling satisfied?" Liam, knowing the girl was protesting, deliberately said these spiteful words to embarrass her.
He could never forget how she sat atop him, admitting she felt good. Despite his hatred toward her, he still had the desire to conquer, whereas all the reasoning Lillian Morris had spoken to him was long forgotten.
When Liam stopped kissing her, Maya looked into his eyes, and the corners of her mouth lifted into a cold smile. She said, "Three years have passed, yet the Third Young Master’s skills haven’t improved, Maya excuses herself from further accompaniment."
As soon as Maya finished speaking, she raised her right hand to push his abdomen, only for Liam to grip her slender waist, claiming her more deeply.
At this moment, Maya felt tears of anger urging to fall but held them back.
Today was their first encounter since meeting again, and if she couldn’t withstand even today, what would she do in the future?
"Besides brute force, what else can you do?" Frustrated and enraged, Maya angrily questioned.
