The phone connected, and the familiar voice of Sister Jane Spencer came through. She asked, "Maya, what’s wrong? Is there anything I can help with?"
Maya Spencer listened to her elder sister’s gentle voice and urgently asked, "Sister, has our third brother reinstated the contract? What about the project on our second brother’s side?"
"Not yet! Maya, don’t be anxious about it. Your third brother is just like that. Go along with him a little bit, just don’t argue with him." Jane Spencer patiently advised, hearing the girl’s anxious voice.
She knew that as long as Maya was by his side, as long as Maya was willing to cheer up her brother, the restoration of cooperation was inevitable.
"Hmm! I understand! I didn’t argue with my third brother," Maya weakly explained.
After she hung up the phone, she let out a long sigh and tossed the phone onto the bed, frustratedly scratching her hair, muttering to herself, "What else do they want from me? How else do they expect me to go along with him?"
