No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother

Chapter 125 - 123 [Update 2]

"Third Brother, I’ve already promised Old Master Reid. If you make me break my promise, it’s not good." Maya Spencer looked at the man seriously, hugging his arm and starting to act coy.

She was afraid of his threats, afraid of losing everything she currently possessed. The respect and status she had gained in the Spencer Family were fleeting things that could bring her closer to her goal, letting her get closer and closer to the Spencers, learn more, and carry out her plans.

The man dismissed her coyness indifferently, shaking off her hand and saying, "No discussion!"

"Third Brother..., could you not do this? I promise I’ll just take a look and do nothing else." Maya thought of the pale-looking Henry Reid and the politeness of Old Master Reid towards her, feeling really bad about going back on her word, even though taking care of Henry wasn’t her original intention.

"Maya, when did you become so melodramatic?" This soft-heartedness from Maya indeed wasn’t like her.

What Liam Spencer didn’t realize was that Maya wasn’t just staying to take care of Henry; she wanted to find out who had pushed her into the sea. Besides the Spencers, Sienna Carter and Madam Reid were also suspects. Staying by Henry’s side might give her some clues.

Maya was well aware of Madam Reid’s dislike for her, so it wouldn’t be surprising if she wanted to take advantage of a vulnerability to get rid of her, leaving no traces in Henry’s life and framing someone from the Spencer Family.

After all, for someone like Henry Reid, marriage always comes with motives. However, there was no benefit in Henry liking her, so she had to suspect the Elders of the Reid Family. Moreover, Henry’s feelings for her at the ball had already stirred quite a commotion.
