Chapter 106 - 104 [Update 1]
Lillian listened to the girl’s words, frowning even more. She had a point—at the moment, it seemed like he was the only one who could help Maya.
Tonight’s charity event was hosted by the Spencer Family. Jane Spencer was too busy to be seen, and Kinsley Spencer was the same. If Hannah and her daughter were asked to help, it wouldn’t be surprising if they took advantage of the chaos to push Maya into trouble.
Therefore, he stood up and walked toward the deck.
When Lillian reached the deck, she saw Maya banging her head against the railing. Lillian was stunned for a moment, thinking, does Maya have a headache problem?
He quickly stepped in front of Maya, gently patting her shoulder, and asked, "Maya, what’s wrong?"
Seeing Lillian, Maya struggled to lift her head and shook it, signaling him to leave her alone. She didn’t want him to see her in such a disheveled state.
Looking at the flushed, dazed girl, Lillian bent down and immediately picked her up, taking her back to the guest room.
In the ballroom, two pairs of eyes watched their actions, a slight smile hanging on their lips, as if they had accomplished some plan.
When Lillian carried Maya to her room, he found that her door wouldn’t open. Maya bit her lip and frowned, wanting to say something to him but unable to utter a word.
With no other option, Lillian carried Maya back to his room, placed her on the sofa, and poured her a cup of cold tea, saying,
"Maya, I’ll get a doctor for you now, just wait a moment."
