Chapter 84 - 82: She Won the Gamble [2 Updates]
Listening to the man’s words, Maya Spencer’s scalp tingled with fear, and she dared not retort,
so she pressed her right cheek tightly against the desk, biting her lower lip, staying motionless, ignoring him.
The man saw her silence and continued to threaten her, "Maya, don’t you think my proposal is good? Look how Brother Sam always thinks for you, he’s calling right away to get someone to help."
As he spoke, he actually picked up the phone, ready to call. Seeing this, Maya panicked a little, but still forced herself to stay composed, saying, "Sure! As long as you dare to call, I dare to show up." She just didn’t believe he could be so ruthless, especially since there was no deep hatred between them.
Listening to her shameless words, the man wanted to crush his phone. He suddenly slammed the phone onto the table, grabbing her wrists with his left hand, and pinching her chin with his right, turning her small face to face him directly, glaring at her with a curse.
"Can you be even more shameless?"
"Shame? What’s that? Do I have any?"
Liam Spencer knew she was deliberately opposing him, gambling that he wouldn’t actually call anyone over, so she unabashedly contradicted him with infuriating words.
If it were any other woman, Liam truly would have called someone over,
but looking at her cold eyes and indifferent demeanor, he was furious, yet could do nothing, because she had won the gamble.
Then, he pinched her chin, asking, "Maya Spencer, do you think you can escape this time too?"
