Dream! It must be a dream! She closed her eyes and opened them again, everything remained unchanged.
Tears streaming down, she grabbed his right arm propped beside her head and mercilessly bit it, trying to bite herself awake.
She knew they had made a big mistake, yet she didn’t dare make a fuss, fearing that the commotion would wake everyone, making things even more unbearable.
She asked, "What should I do now? What should I do now?"
Hearing the murmuring of the girl in his arms, Liam finally pushed her away and lifted her chin, asking, "Grace, why are you crying?"
Maya cried intensely, unable to hear what he was saying, but then Liam saw clearly that the girl in his arms was Maya. He was stunned and suddenly pushed her away, grabbing her arm, "Maya?"
"You!" Maya’s face was full of grievance, tears falling continuously.
Memories of last night surged up, and Liam remembered the girl asking him to dance, and she cried while lying in his arms.
Later, somehow he saw Grace, and then... then... something that shouldn’t have happened, happened.
Impossible! Impossible! He would never mistake Maya for Grace, even though he had teased her before, each time his mind was clear, he wouldn’t let himself make a mistake, yet last night he indeed made one.
