The town had been buzzing since yesterday—apparently, several celebrities had come to town to shoot a TV show.
Zhou Linlin heard about this from her relatives, who had been discussing it for quite a while in the family chat group.
Yesterday, when she thought she saw Lin Qin, she dismissed it as hallucinating from reading too much CP fanfiction about Lin Qin and Meng Chao. It wasn’t until she heard the news about celebrities shooting a show that she realized Lin Qin and Meng Chao were in Nanjiang Town and were currently filming "We Are Together."
Zhou Linlin was in a cooking group chat called "Stir-Fried Vegetables," and yesterday she had been bragging about this to the group. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she’d one day be in such close proximity with Lin Qin and Meng Chao.
When her father called her to the peach orchard, Lin Qin was reluctant to go.
Her father mentioned that there was a surprise waiting for her at the orchard and told her not to get too excited. Zhou Linlin was grumbling internally at the time, wondering, how could she not be excited? Her dad had just landed a big order for 100 boxes of peaches. By the time she finished packing those boxes, her hands would probably fall off. How could anyone be excited about that?
But when she arrived at the orchard and saw the cameras, Zhou Linlin hadn’t quite processed what was going on. It wasn’t until she saw Lin Qin, Meng Chao, and four other celebrities she recognized walking toward her that she completely lost it and screamed out loud.
The orchard’s owner, Mr. Zhou, quickly apologized, "I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry. My daughter gets too excited when she sees celebrities. Please forgive her, really sorry about this."
Zhou Linlin jogged over, her breathing a bit erratic. She had to take a couple of deep breaths to calm herself down before apologizing, "Sorry, sorry, I got too excited."
