Chapter 21: There’s a Beam of Light
The night spilled over, enveloping the world in silence.
The program crew wrapped up, and the villa’s lights dimmed one after another. Only the infrared cameras continued to operate, accompanied by the sound of waves drifting in from outside the windows, serene and relaxing.
Suddenly, the quiet villa was broken by the sound of a door opening. The noise came from the guest room on the first floor. The infrared cameras automatically adjusted, turning toward the source, capturing a woman dressed in a seductive camisole nightgown as she emerged from the room.
The woman, of course, was Jin Feiyun, who had participated in today’s recording of "We’re Together."
In the darkness, Jin Feiyun surveyed the surroundings, turned on her phone’s flashlight, and began stealthily climbing the stairs.
The infrared cameras only captured the staircase halfway up, unable to follow further, and Jin Feiyun was unaware she was being filmed by the infrared cameras.
Upstairs was very quiet.
Jin Feiyun had already figured out the layout. There were three rooms on the second floor: the one closest to the stairs was a guest room, currently occupied by Zhang Yue. The door was closed tight, with no light leaking out, suggesting he was already asleep.
The room opposite Zhang Yue’s was the master bedroom, while the room next to the master bedroom was the secondary bedroom.
