As the car door opened, Pei Yu, who had been waiting for a long time, took the gifts and letters from her hands and bent down to adjust her skirt, "Heading home?"
"Yes," Shen Zhiyi settled in, yawned tiredly with tears welling up in her eyes; she had been sleeping poorly these past few days and was always feeling sleepy.

The warmth from Pei Yu’s high body temperature radiated comforting heat on this bleak autumn night. Shen Zhiyi buried her face in his neck, her drowsiness intensifying, yet she moved slightly due to the uncomfortable position.
He sensed it, guessed it was because of the awkward position, gripped her waist with one large hand and hooked the other under her knees, gently lifting her to sit in his lap.
Shen Zhiyi startled, lifting her head from his chest, but soon felt a calming pat on her lower back; Pei Yu lowered his head and kissed her forehead, "Go to sleep."
The coat was soft and held a hint of the night’s coolness. Wrapped within his coat, Shen Zhiyi hesitated briefly but decided to follow her heart, slowly wrapping her arms around his waist, feeling his warmth seep through the layers of clothing.
She fell asleep like that and woke up being carried by Pei Yu, standing at the entrance hall.
Supporting herself on his shoulder, Shen Zhiyi rubbed her eyes and looked around, "You can put me down now."
