“Big Sister, something bad happened this time. I’ll tell you about it when we get back …” Suyan stuck out her tongue while her arms were around Suxue’s thin waist.
“Something bad?” Suxue furrowed her brows, then she looked past Suyan at Long Chen. Connecting it to what Suyan said, Suxue’s expression went through a hundred-and-eighty-degree change from concern towards Suyan to a bone-chilling look saved for a stranger. She looked at Long Chen coldly with an imposing glare.
She then asked in a cold voice, “Who are you? Why are you standing so close to my younger sister?”
Long Chen sensed very obvious enmity from Suxue. It was understandable as her younger sister really was a little gullible and seemed to be the exact kind who could be easily tricked and manipulated. That was why Suxue thought Long Chen had malicious intent.
“Big Sister, you’re mistaken. Big Brother is not a bad person. I ran into a little trouble, and he saved me,” Suyan hurriedly explained while hugging her sister.
“Are you kidding? He’s only at the Fifth Earthly Martial Stage; how could he have saved you? Yan’er, tell me what happened. Have you been tricked by him?” Su Xue looked at Long Chen cautiously with disgust in her eyes.
Long Chen did not know what made her hate him so much. Since she insisted on looking down on him, his gaze turned cold and he said, “What do you mean by that? Is this how the princess of the Demon clan treats her guests?”
The Nine Great Clans were actually the Nine Great Empires. Every clan leader was actually the leader of their empire. People like Feng Zhilin and Suxue were usually called princesses in their empires.
Suxue never expected Long Chen to be so rude to her, or even mock her using her own title, so she became furious. Long Chen was a mere Fifth Earthly Martial Stage cultivator, and yet he dared speak to her that way. She had never met a person like him before.
