Chapter 924: Chapter 924: Nearly Eaten Alive (Part 1)
“Brother Siqing doesn’t have time to stay in Rongcheng anymore, but Grandma is sick. I plan to wait until she gets better before leaving. So, before he leaves, I want to personally make him breakfast,” Gu Anjin said while busying herself.
“Jinjin, do you know what your grandma likes to eat?” Lu Wanwan asked mysteriously.
Upon hearing this, Gu Anjin smirked mischievously, “Sister-in-law, that’s a good question!”
Two hours later.
Gu Anjin came out of the kitchen with steaming hot porridge, while Lu Wanwan was already stepping out the door with a lunchbox.
“This is wonderful. Perhaps we’ll be attending a wedding soon,” Gu Anjin said with a happy smile, glancing upstairs to find that a certain someone hadn’t appeared yet.
“It’s this late, and he still hasn’t come out? Could he still be in bed?” She checked the time, “Seriously, in just a few hours, he’ll be getting on a plane.”
Thinking it over, she carried the result of her early morning effort upstairs.
Gu Anjin couldn’t remember when it started, but she had been forbidden from freely entering Yue Siqing’s room.
But here at the Gu Family, that meant… Yue Siqing’s rules didn’t apply!
The Gu Family should listen to her!
With this thought, Gu Anjin grandly opened Yue Siqing’s bedroom door, holding the porridge she had cooked herself.
The room was unlit, and the curtains were drawn tightly shut.
Everything inside was neatly arranged, except there was no sign of Yue Siqing.
A sudden chill and disappointment washed over Gu Anjin—is it possible he left quietly without a word?
Suddenly, there was the sound of a door opening behind her, coupled with Yue Siqing’s usual cello-like low voice, “Who let you in?”
Startled by the voice, Gu Anjin turned around abruptly to see Yue Siqing emerging from the bathroom, shirtless.
She hadn’t seen him without clothes for a long time; his physique was even better than before…
“Ah!” Just a moment of distraction, added with her heart’s nervous flutter, and the tray in her hand tilted towards herself, the bowl sliding down with the incline.
Panicking, she tried to save it, but the bowl still overturned, spilling the boiling porridge over her hand, instantly reddening her skin.
“Jinjin!” Yue Siqing’s face darkened as he rushed forward.
“It hurts, Brother Siqing, it hurts a lot!”
Gu Anjin was immediately taken to the bathroom by him, where her hand was placed under cold running water.
He quickly called a servant to clean up the spilled porridge and bring ointment.
“Am I clumsy?” Gu Anjin asked, sitting on the edge of the bed, extending her hand to him for applying the ointment.
“Yes,” Yue Siqing replied bluntly, staring coldly at her slender fingers that were reddened, “This kind of task, you could have easily asked a servant to handle. Was it necessary for you to bring it up yourself?”
Enduring the pain, Gu Anjin spoke softly, “You’re leaving soon, so I wanted to bring it up myself. Brother Siqing, I cooked this myself, and I wanted to see you taste it.”
“From now on, you’re not allowed to do tasks meant for servants,” Yue Siqing responded coldly.
Gu Anjin looked at his tense, angry face; he seemed as if he wanted to scold her.
He was always restrained with her, even if he was upset, he would hold back and never say anything too harsh.
But his eyes clearly showed his worry and care for her.
“Brother Siqing, you do care about me, don’t you?”
Keeping a stern face, Yue Siqing finished applying the ointment, “Get out. I’ve told you before, without permission, you’re not allowed in my room.”
Gu Anjin pressed her lips tightly and, looking at the person so close, suddenly swung her legs over and quickly sat on his lap, leaning in to kiss him.
