Similarly distributed in the Indian Ocean and the West Pacific, but aside from these locations, they are also found in the Red Sea, along the southeast coast of Africa, Australia, and the coasts of Japan. Despite their wide distribution, their production isn’t as high as that of the Long-bearded Shrimp.
The third species, the Knife-Edged New Shrimp, is also known as Mud Shrimp, Tiger Shrimp, Flower Tiger Shrimp, Prawn, Sand Shrimp, Red Claw Shrimp. Isn’t this familiar? It must be said that nicknames really have a high rate of repetition, which is why these marine creatures need a formal name.
The Knife-Edged New Shrimp mainly inhabits the Pacific, the east coast of Japan, the junction of the Eastern Sea and Southern Sea in our country, Southeast Asia, and Australia.
Here in our country, their spawning period is from May to August. This variety is highly survivable when caught and better suited for transportation. They grow exceptionally fast; shrimp farmers who buy young shrimp can raise them to about one or two kilograms in just two months. They are well-suited for commercial sales, which is why there are so many of these shrimp being farmed.
Although these three kinds of shrimp vary in rarity, the rewards granted once unlocked are the same. Lin Yang didn’t care much — as long as it was close enough.
