A group of people quickly boarded a boat, which was a training vessel. Although Lin Yang said he was already capable of operating it, Boss Chen and Coach Feng hadn’t seen him do so, so it was necessary for him to demonstrate his skills first.

Once onboard, Lin Yang immediately began handling the operations.

He hoisted the anchor, gauged distances, adjusted the throttle, and assessed the boat’s inertia; Lin Yang operated as adeptly as a seasoned sailor would, clearly very proficient in handling the vessel.

Seeing this, Coach Feng couldn’t help but nod at Boss Chen, signaling that Lin Yang was indeed capable and they needn’t worry about any issues arrising while helping him get his license.

After taking Boss Chen and Coach Feng around the bay, Lin Yang completed all the necessary maneuvers, and then they returned to the harbor where docking posed no issue for him.

Once it was clear he could indeed handle the boat well, Boss Chen took Lin Yang to gather the necessary documentation for his application.

First, they registered Lin Yang’s information, then took eight one-inch color portrait photos against a white background. They also visited a small hospital nearby to get a health certificate, confirming he was physically fit.

After finishing all the procedures, Boss Chen told Lin Yang that the licenses would probably arrive in about half a month, but since it was uncertain whether Lin Yang would still be around in 15 days, they might have to mail them to him.

While Lin Yang was busy securing his boating knowledge and applying for a yachting license, the fishing permit that Boss Chen had mentioned the day before also arrived.
