Chapter 163 - 133: Fishing in Taihu
Lin Yang cradled the fishing rod in the bend of his arm and gripped the net pole with his left hand, burying the large net head into the water and slowly pulling the fish into the net.
At this moment, he encountered a problem; scooping a fish of twenty or thirty pounds was easy, but netting this big fellow was proving to be a bit of a stretch.
The fish’s head and half of its body could barely fit in, but at least half of its bulk remained outside the net.
"Hey buddy, your net seems a bit small, use mine!" At that moment, an angler who had been unobtrusively fishing nearby called out and brought over his extra-large net.
"Thanks a lot."
Lin Yang nodded his thanks, took the larger net, and securely pulled the fish inside.
The sight of a fish weighing over a hundred pounds being pulled out of the water drew the gaze of numerous onlookers, even Boss Tang was stirred.
Lin Yang took a deep breath, set down the rod, and was about to use both hands to haul the fish ashore when Boss Tang came over and said:
"Don’t rush, I’ll lay something down first. The Sturgeon is too large, if we handle it roughly and it gets injured, it could easily die."
"The competition is almost over, this...." Lin Yang frowned slightly.
"Time is not an issue. For such a big fish, we can’t use a net to weigh it, we need a small stretcher. I’ll have professionals take care of it; don’t worry, it’s all good. Everyone’s watching, and since it was my request, consider your catch successful!"
