Chapter 128 - 122: Fishing for Huaiwang Fish
Lin Yang also sped up this time, and an hour later, the two officially arrived at their destination.
"Phew, finally here."
Lin Yang looked at the small lake in front of him, took a deep breath, and then compared it with the video on his phone—it was indeed this place.
The small lake wasn’t very big, but it still covered nearly dozens of acres of surface area. Perhaps because the rainy season hadn’t truly arrived yet, water lines formed by the receding water levels could be seen all around.
However, the spot where they stood was a cliff, not suitable for setting up camp, so after some searching, they descended to the bottom of the valley.
"Brr, it’s a bit chilly down here."
Having just reached the valley floor, Lin Yang felt a sudden drop in temperature. Wearing only a single layer of clothing, he couldn’t help but rub his forearms where the hair stood on end from the cold.
He hadn’t expected such a big temperature difference with merely a dozen meters’ difference in altitude.
"Brother Yang, I told you to wear more," commented Yue’er, clad in her thick mountain gear.
"Mingyue Mountain is over 1700 meters above sea level, and this region has a subtropical humid monsoon climate due to its mid-latitude location. The climate is influenced by the alternating wet, warm southeastern monsoon and the dry, cold continental high pressure, so it’s naturally cool. Look at those exposed rocks ahead; they’re clearly from the Quaternary glacial period. No wonder it’s chilly," Yue’er explained.
Lin Yang was stunned and surprised, looking at Yue’er—he hadn’t expected the young girl to teach him a lesson.
