She was just over the size of his palm with long translucent wings behind her.
Her silverish eyes blinked before they were filled with panic. "You can see me!?"
Akamir tilted his head in confusion. "...Yeah, I can?"
The fairy’s tiny mouth fell open as she struggled in his grasp, flailing her arms.
"No-no-no! You’re not supposed to! You’re not supposed to see me!"
Akamir raised an eyebrow, still holding her gently between his fingers. "Well, too late for that."
He brought her closer, inspecting her like a rare artifact. "You’re real, right? Not some illusion spell?"
She puffed up, her cheeks reddening. "Of course I’m real, you cabbage-brained mortal! Put me down!"
