Chapter 225: Pancakes
"I-I’m fine," Leon said with a faint smile on his face that Riven would miss if he did not pay close attention.
There was an unspoken comfort in the aftermath, a sense of belonging that wrapped around them like a warm blanket.
As they lingered in the quiet, Riven’s fingers drifted to Leon’s long blond hair, a playful glint in his eyes. "Let me tie this up for you, my king," he offered, reaching for a hair tie on the bedside table.
Leon instinctively pulled away, shaking his head with a gentle smile. "I can do it myself," he insisted, the glint of determination in his eyes.
Riven paused, but rather than disappointment, understanding flickered across his face. He knew how much Leon hated people touching his hair. "Alright," he said, his voice calm and encouraging. "Do it."
Leon appreciated Riven’s respect for his space. As he gathered the strands of hair and began to twist them up, Riven watched with an affectionate smile.
He turned to Leon, who was still lounging on the bed, a thoughtful look on his face. "Hey, do you want to eat anything? I know we had quite the eventful morning," he asked, a hint of playful mischief in his voice.
Leon nodded slowly, his stomach rumbling softly in agreement. Riven ate what Leon prepared for him, it was only Leon who did not get to eat.
A bright smile spread across Riven’s face, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "Alright! It’s my turn to whip something up for you. Just... Bear with me. I’m not exactly a master chef," He said before sprinting away.
