Chapter 44 The Fate of the Younger Sister-in-law
"Now you're scared? What were you doing earlier?" The old lady scolded furiously, her disappointment evident.
"Grandma, please save me... I was wrong, okay? I promise I won't mess with her anymore!" Huo Anya burst into tears right away.
Although the old lady felt Huo Anya was infuriating, she was still her granddaughter. How could she refuse to help?
"Alright, let me see how to resolve this." The old lady sighed in exasperation.
After being reprimanded, Huo Anya slunk out of the old mansion miserably.
From a distance, she saw Lin Banxia leaning against a tree trunk, seemingly waiting for her intentionally.
Huo Anya stormed over, fuming, and gritted her teeth. "Lin Banxia, you've got some nerve!"

"Anya, what did I ever do to offend you? Why are you trying to harm me like this? I'm your brother's girlfriend!" Lin Banxia immediately put on a pitiful and aggrieved expression as she questioned her.
"Lin Banxia, do you know what makes me sick about you? It's that pathetic, pitiful face of yours. What gives you the right to enter the Huo Family anyway? If my brother weren't—"
"Weren't what?" Lin Banxia interrupted expectantly, hoping she'd spill the truth. That way, she could confront Huo Qinglin confidently.
Huo Anya wasn't completely brainless. She immediately cut off her sentence and changed her words. "If my brother didn't just happen to like dumb, sweet women like you, I'd never welcome you into our home!"
